Richard G. Diamonstein is Managing Director of Paramount Sleep, a 3rd generation family mattress manufacturing business started in 1933 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Paramount operates a state-of-the-art mattress manufacturing facility, building retail, commercial and export products. Attention to product detail and personal attention to their customers differentiates Paramount from much of its domestic competition today. Average length of service by production employees is over 12 years, resulting in true craftsmanship and quality products. A national reputation for quality has allowed Paramount to expand their manufacturing capabilities in the USA to 6 other affiliated factories giving Paramount a coast to coast presence.
Richard graduated from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce with a B.S. in Commerce. He also has a J.D. degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and worked for a number of years in that field before joining the family business in 1985. He is also active in his local and industry communities having served on a number of boards and as a City of Norfolk Planning Commissioner.
Paramount has exported to China, Japan, Brazil, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Turkey and is now exploring a number of other regions of the world interested in quality made USA products
